Who is ready to compete for the Main Event Comedy Championship??

The Main Event Comedy Championship is a series of stand up comedy competitions that will be taking place at Happy Hour Comedy Club in Anniston, Alabama beginning on Saturday August 19th and culminating with the finals on Saturday December 16th! 

While the name may seem to imply it, this is not a competition with Comedians literally fighting each other, the competition will be a normal stand up comedy competition with each comic performing a 6 to 10 minute set (their choice as long as it's 10 minutes or less in the initial competitions, the finals will consist of longer sets).  The name stems from the fact that the competition and it's competitors will be promoted similar to the way an MMA event or professional wrestling event is promoted.  We'll be making video promotional packages on everyone that enters the competition to help get the audience invested in both the competitors and the competition itself.  

Each of the monthly competitions will be judged by three judges who will score the contestants based on three categories.  1.) Stage presence  2.) Quality of material  3.) Crowd response 

Comedians of all experience levels are welcome to register to compete in the Main Event Comedy Championship.  There are no registration fees to enter, all entries will be accepted.  The information requested on the registration form will only be used to promote you being part of the competition.  There will be a limited number of sign ups allowed for each of the monthly competitions, they will be first come first serve....so the sooner you sign up, the sooner we can lock you into the date that you want to compete.  If the date you want has already filled up, we will reach out to you to set up an alternative available date. 

The winner of each monthly competition will win $100 cash and will advance to the finals to compete for a $200 cash prize as well as the Main Event Comedy Championship belt!! You will literally be crowned the Main Event Comedy Championship.....CHAMPION!

This Sunday, we'll be announcing the details for the Main Event Comedy Championship and opening up registration for the four events that will lead to us crowning a MAIN EVENT COMEDY CHAMPION in the finals!
